A new pediatric dental practice has leased nearly 4,000 square feet at Ewing’s Capitol Plaza in Mercer County. This marks the second healthcare tenant to join the shopping center this year.
Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry, led by local practitioner Maya Thompson, will operate from the location at Route 206 and North Olden Avenue. The office will provide preventive and therapeutic dental care for infants, children, and adolescents, including those with special health needs, all within a modern and welcoming environment.
Fred Younkin, a leasing representative from Levin Management Corp.
(LMC), facilitated the 3,900-square-foot lease for the landlord. Jon Porter of CARR represented the dental practice.
Dr. Thompson expressed her excitement about the new venture: “My goal at Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is to create a positive experience and provide a solid dental foundation for children and families. I want my patients to have the skills and confidence to take an active role in their oral health as adults. Coming back to my roots in Trenton to create this wonderful space at Capitol Plaza is especially thrilling.”
Capitol Plaza spans 355,000 square feet and includes well-known anchors such as Marshall’s, Save A Lot, Planet Fitness, Dollar Tree, and dd’s Discounts. Other tenants include Forman Mills, American Furniture, Harbor Freight Tools, Rainbow, Snipes, Foot Locker, Pork Chop’s BBQ, and Wingstop, along with various service providers and an office component housing Jersey College School of Nursing.
LMC is currently marketing additional retail spaces at Capitol Plaza that range from 5,800 to 13,300 square feet. The shopping center attracts approximately 2.1 million visitors each year, according to traffic data from Placer.ai.
Younkin noted the importance of healthcare tenants in retail spaces: “Health care concepts significantly enhance a retail property by creating a ‘one-stop’ destination where patients can shop, dine, and access care all in one place.” He highlighted that America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses also recently opened at the property.
With Duck Duck Tooth Pediatric Dentistry joining the lineup of tenants at Ewing’s Capitol Plaza, families in the area can look forward to accessible pediatric dental care in a convenient location.
