INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 10, 2024 /PRNewswire/ – Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America has announced the launch of three innovative features in its group dental products. These enhancements aim to help employers and employees manage the costs of dental services while promoting preventive care and overall health.
New Features to Make Dental Care More Affordable
John Feeney, Vice President of Group Sales & Market Development at Renaissance, stated, “As dental procedures can be costly, dental benefits are becoming essential for employers looking to attract and retain quality employees. We continually strive to introduce new features that add value to our dental offerings.”
Major Services Guarantee
Renaissance offers a new feature called the Major Services Guarantee, which provides protection for enrollees if certain major dental procedures performed by in-network dentists fail. If an eligible procedure fails, it will be replaced at no cost to the patient, provided they maintain their Renaissance coverage and have an annual preventive care visit. Major services covered include:
Endodontic Services: Root canals
Major Restorative Services: Crowns
Prosthodontic Services: Bridges, dentures, and implants
These services can be expensive, but Renaissance customers benefit from this added protection.
Early Orthodontic Benefit Extension
The Early Ortho Max Extender feature allows members to maximize their orthodontic benefits. Any services performed in the dental office related to “Early Orthodontic” treatment will count toward the Annual Maximum instead of the Lifetime Orthodontic Maximum. This change helps enrollees preserve more benefit dollars for future orthodontic treatments, potentially reducing out-of-pocket expenses significantly.
Vanishing Deductible Feature
The new Vanishing Deductible feature rewards members for utilizing their benefits for regular check-ups and cleanings.
Each member has a deductible associated with their plan. By receiving at least one Diagnostic or Preventive dental service each year, their deductible will decrease by $25 the following year. This reduction continues until the deductible vanishes entirely, providing tangible savings for members who maintain regular dental visits.
Feeney added, “Our mission is to improve healthcare affordability and eliminate barriers to accessing providers. These new offerings empower customers to achieve their financial and wellness goals, enhancing employee well-being and driving organizational success.”
