Bohemia, NY – September 25, 2024 – The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) has launched the AMAC Liberty Dental Plan, a new dental insurance initiative designed specifically for its two million members. This program aims to address significant gaps in dental coverage often faced by seniors under Medicare.
In response to member feedback, AMAC collaborated with Ameritas to create a dental plan that caters to the unique needs of older Americans. Unlike traditional plans that may include services like fluoride treatments or braces, the Liberty Dental Plan focuses on essential services that Medicare does not cover. These include dentures, crowns, implants, and bridges.
“Our members voiced their concerns, and we took action,” said Carl Hohsfield, Senior Vice President of AMAC’s Senior Resources Network.
“This new dental plan fills a crucial gap in coverage for seniors, ensuring they have access to the oral care they truly need.”
The AMAC Liberty Dental Plan offers two tiers of coverage—Basic and Elite. Both options feature no waiting periods for basic and major services, along with a low annual deductible. Preventive services such as exams, cleanings, and x-rays are fully covered. Essential treatments like fillings, extractions, crowns, and bridges are also included. Notably, the Elite plan extends coverage to dental implants. Members can further enhance their benefits with affordable vision and hearing plans.
