Modern Dental Implant Technology to Enhance Public Healthcare, Says Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized the importance of modern dental implant technology in improving public healthcare. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting innovation across various sectors in India. Dr. Yadav noted the success of the Ayushman scheme, which provides free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh, particularly benefiting underprivileged communities. Recently, Prime Minister Modi announced that individuals over 70 years old from all backgrounds will now qualify for this scheme.

Speaking at the 30th National Conference of the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists (ISOI) in Indore, Dr. Yadav highlighted the growing significance of dental treatments in today’s healthcare landscape. The conference, themed “Smart Implant System and Proper Planning,” attracted numerous dental specialists and featured both national and international speakers.

Dr. Yadav pointed out the state’s commitment to integrating health services with education to enhance their effectiveness. He mentioned that the government has introduced various innovations in health education to ensure accessible healthcare for all citizens. He also stressed the need to include dental treatments under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Additionally, he announced the launch of the PM Shri Air Ambulance service in Madhya Pradesh, aimed at assisting critically ill patients.

The government is also working through a public-private partnership model to improve healthcare services via medical colleges. During the event, Dr. Yadav visited an exhibition at the conference venue.

Dr. Manish Verma, Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, welcomed attendees and outlined the event’s objectives. Secretary Dr. Deepak Agarwal reported that the first day included 18 sessions and presentations of around 100 research papers. Scientific Chairman Dr. Shalin Khetrapal noted an industry-based session featuring technicians from implant manufacturing companies alongside dental specialists.

At the conference, Israeli expert Dr. Shlomo Birson discussed advancements in implant technology, urging doctors to stay informed about daily developments in dentistry and medicine. He highlighted that a complete set of teeth can now be implanted within three hours. Dr. Sudip Bopardikar provided insights into implant techniques, focusing on enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness.

The ISOI conference brought together leading implantologists from across India to promote dental implants as part of the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The event will run until September 29, attracting over 800 dentists and featuring participation from more than 60 national and international dental implant companies at a trade fair. Scientific sessions included contributions from over 40 speakers who shared their expertise, while live workshops offered students hands-on training in implant placements. Companies were encouraged to manufacture certified, high-quality dental implants in India under the ‘Make in India’ initiative, aiming to provide affordable treatment options for the public.

Notable attendees included Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Smt. Malini Gaur, Golu Shukla, Shri Gaurav Randive, Divisional Commissioner Shri Deepak Singh, Police Commissioner Shri Rakesh Gupta, and Collector Shri Ashish Singh.
