KARACHI: The Department of Operative Dentistry at Bahria University Dental College (BUDC) recently held its first international guest lecture on digital implant dentistry. The event featured Dr. Stefano Pieralli, a distinguished expert from Charité-Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. Dr. Meisha Gul, Assistant Professor of Operative Dentistry and Pakistan’s first ITI scholar, moderated the session.
Dr. Pieralli, known for his expertise in prosthodontics and oral implantology, discussed advanced topics including digital workflows, computer-guided implant surgery, and innovative prosthetic materials for implant rehabilitation. Drawing from his extensive global experience, which includes positions at the University of São Paulo and the University of Freiburg, Dr. Pieralli shared valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field and emphasized the significance of innovation and precision.
During his 30-minute lecture, he examined how digital technologies are being integrated into implantology. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session where participants discussed practical applications and future trends in prosthodontics. The combination of Dr. Pieralli’s expertise and Dr. Gul’s moderation greatly enhanced the experience for attendees.
At the end of the seminar, Dr. Gul expressed gratitude to Dr. Pieralli for his invaluable contributions and presented him with a certificate of appreciation.
