Dental offices in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area are joining forces to support victims of domestic violence this October.
Throughout the month, they are collecting donations for S.H.E., the Shelter for Help in Emergency.
Community members can contribute household items, personal care products, or gift cards to assist those facing domestic violence or partner abuse. S.H.E. has provided a list of the most needed items to guide donations.
Clare O’Reilly, the Community Engagement Coordinator at S.H.E., highlighted the importance of this initiative during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. “We see many community groups reaching out or taking the initiative to collect donations,” she said. “It’s encouraging to see such openness from the community, not just in October but throughout the year, as we work to support those in need.”
The following dental offices have set up donation boxes for contributions:
Any Charlottesville Orthodontics location
Central Virginia Endodontics
Flaherty and Sauls Dentistry
Forest Lakes Dental
Greene Comprehensive Family Dentistry
PKS Dentistry
Sapon and Swisher Dental
Swett Dentistry
Top Tooth Pediatric and Teen Dentistry
This collaborative effort underscores a strong community commitment to aiding victims of domestic violence.
