KENDAL — Crossbank Dental Care in Kendal has announced an initiative to plant a tree for every dental implant placed.
This effort is part of their new “Implant a Tree” program, launched in partnership with Cumbria Wildlife Trust.
The program aims to plant a tree for each dental implant installed over the next year. Crossbank Dental Care has been recognized as a leader in environmentally friendly practices within the dental sector. The practice has received green benchmark certification for its commitment to sustainability.
Their eco-friendly initiatives include bulk purchasing of sustainable materials, transitioning to reusable and recyclable products, and reducing waste, packaging, transportation, and emissions.
The trees will be planted in previously depleted areas of Cumbria. This effort will help combat soil erosion and flooding, support local wildlife and pollinators, capture carbon, and contribute to reversing climate change.
As a supporter of Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Crossbank Dental Care is excited to begin planting their first saplings as the tree-planting season commences.
Bex Cooper, the director of Crossbank Dental Care, expressed her enthusiasm: “It’s thrilling to think that our first saplings are about to move from the nursery to the fellside.” She added that linking tree planting with the life-enhancing implants they provide is a meaningful way to give back. The initiative has been well-received by patients.
