Madison College, in partnership with the Greater Dane Dental Society (GDDS), is organizing a free dental clinic for up to 100 veterans on November 10.
The clinic will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, offering veterans free dental X-rays and exams. If additional care is needed, veterans may receive referrals to local dentists for no-cost treatment, depending on their needs and availability.
Many veterans struggle to access affordable dental care. “We want to honor veterans on Veterans Day by providing them with dental services that can improve their health and lives,” said Lisa Bahr, the Dental Hygiene Program Director. “This is our way of expressing gratitude for their service to our country.”
The GDDS is generously supporting this initiative. “Our members are pleased and honored to support this screening,” said GDDS President Dr. Sami Kawas.
In addition to this special event, Madison College’s Dental Clinic offers affordable dental hygiene services throughout the year for veterans at a cost of $30.
